PRAKAS

ON

INDUSTRIAL STANDARD OF CAMBODIA FOR

ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC PRODUCTS AS MANDATORY STANDARDS

 

 

THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY, MINES AND ENERGY

 

-   Having seen the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

-   Having  seen  the  Royal  Decree  Nº1198/72  dated  30  November  1998  on  the appointment of the Royal Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

-   Having seen the Royal Kram No0196/05 dated 24 January 1996 promulgating the Law on the establishment of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy.

-   Having seen the Royal Kram Nº 0600/001 dated 21 June 2000 promulgating the Law on the Management of Quality and Safety of products, goods and services.

-   Having seen the Sub-Decree Nº 42 dated 15 May 2001 on Industrial Standards of Cambodia.

-   Referred to the record of the 10th meeting of Technical Committee dated 26 November

2003 on the adoption of International Standards (IEC standards) for electrical and electronic products to be Industrial Standards of Cambodia and the discussion on the criteria of Standard Marks.

-   Referred to the current situation.

 

DECIDES

 

Article 1:

 

To establish the Industrial Standards of Cambodia as mandatory standards specifying class, marking, labeling, testing and safety requirements of electrical and electronic products producing, importing and distributing for using or selling in the Kingdom of Cambodia as follows:

 

1-    CS 0010:2003    Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 1: General requirements (Third edition) by adopting IEC 60335-1:1991.

2-    CS 0011:2003    Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2: Particular requirements for appliances for skin or hair care by adopting IEC

       60335-2-23:1997.

3-    CS 0012:2003                Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2-15: Particular requirements for appliances for heating liquids by adopting IEC 60335-2-15:2000.

4-    CS 0013:2003    Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2-13: Particular requirements for deep fat fryers, frying pans and similar appliances by adopting IEC 60335-2-13:1999.

5-    CS 0014:2003    Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2-3: Particular requirements for electrical irons by adopting IEC 60335-2-       3:2000.

6-    CS 0015:2003 Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2-14: Particular requirements for kitchen machines by adopting IEC 60335-2-14:1994.

7-    CS 0016:2003 Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2-25: Particular requirements for microwave ovens by adopting IEC 60335-2-25:1999.

8-    CS 0017:2003 Plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes - Part 1: General requirements by adopting IEC 60884-1:1994

9-    CS 0018:2003 Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2-2: Particular requirements for vacuum cleaners and water suction cleaning appliances by adopting IEC 60335-2-2:1998.

10- CS 0019:2003    Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2-7: Particular requirements for washing machines by adopting IEC 60335-2-7:2000.

11- CS 0020:2003    Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2-4: Particular requirements for spin extractors by adopting IEC 60335-2-4:2000.

12- CS 0021:2003    Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2-24: Particular requirements for refrigerating appliances, ice-cream appliances and ice-makers by adopting IEC 60335-2-24:2002.

13-  CS 0022:2003    Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2: Particular requirements for sewing machines by adopting IEC 60335-2-28:1994.

14-  CS 0023:2003    Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2: Particular requirements for portable heating tools and similar appliances by adopting IEC 60335-2-45:1996.

15- CS 0024:2003    Polyvinyl chloride insulated cables of rated voltage up to and including 450/750 V - Part 1: General requirements by adopting IEC 60227-1:1993.

16- CS 0025:2003      Incandescent lamps - Safety specifications - Part 1: Tungsten filament lamps for domestic and similar general lighting purposes by adopting IEC 60432-1:1999

17-  CS 0026:2003    Switches for household and similar fixed-electrical installations - Part1: General requirements by adopting IEC 60669-1:2000.

18- CS 0027:2003    Self-ballasted lamps for general lighting services, Safety requirements by adopting IEC 60968:1999.

19- CS 0028:2003    Safety of hand-held motor-operated electric tools - Part 2: Particular requirements for circular saws and circular knives by adopting IEC 60745-2-5:1993.

20- CS 0029:2003    Audio, video and similar electronic apparatus, Safety requirements by adopting IEC 60065:1998.

21- CS 0030:2003    Low-voltage fuses - Part 1: General requirements by adopting IEC 60269-1:1998.

22- CS 0031:2003    Lamp holders for tubular fluorescent lamps and starter holders by adopting IEC 60400:1999.

23- CS 0032:2003    Electrical accessories - Circuit-breakers for over current protection for household and similar installations by adopting IEC 60898:1995.

24- CS 0033:2003    Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2: Particular requirements for electric shavers, hair clippers and similar appliances by adopting IEC 60335-2-8:1992 .

25- CS 0034:2003    Luminaires - Part 1: General requirements and tests by adopting IEC  60598-1:1999.

26- CS 0035:2003    Luminaires - Part 2: Particular requirements - Section 4: Portable general purpose luminaries by adopting IEC 60598-2-4:1997.

27- CS 0036:2003    Luminaires- Part 2: Particular requirements - Section 8: Hand lamps by adopting IEC 60598-2-8:1996.

28- CS 0037:2003    Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2-9: Particular requirements for grills, toasters and similar portable cooking Appliances by adopting IEC 60335-2-9:1998.

29- CS 0038:2003 Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2: Particular requirements for fixed immersion heaters by adopting IEC 60335-2-73:1994 .

30- CS 0039:2003    Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2: Particular requirements for portable immersion heaters by IEC 60335-2-74:1994.

31- CS 0040:2003    Performance and construction of electric circulating fans and regulators by IEC 60879:1986.

32- CS 0041:2003    Luminaires - Part 2-20: Particular requirements - Lighting chains by adopting IEC 60598-2-20:1996.

33- CS 0042:2003    Safety of hand-held motor-operated electric tools - Part 1: General requirements by adopting IEC 60745-1:1989.

34- CS 0043:2003    Safety of hand-held motor-operated electric tools. Part 2: Particular requirements for drills by IEC 60745-2-1:1989.

35- CS 0044:2003    Isolating transformers and safety isolating transformers. Requirements by adopting IEC 60742:1983.

36- CS 0045:2003    Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2: Particular requirements for fans by adopting IEC 60335-2-80:1997.

37-  CS 0046:2003    Safety of power transformers, power supply units and similar - Part 2: Particular requirements for safety isolating transformers for general use by adopting IEC 61558-2-6:11996.

38- CS 0047:2003    Safety of information technology by adopting IEC 60950:1991.

39- CS 0048:2003    Safety of hand-held motor-operated electric tools. Part 2: Particular requirements for grinders, polishers and disk-type sanders by adopting IEC 60745-2-3:1984.

40-  CS 0049:2003    Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2: Particular requirements for storage water heaters by adopting IEC 60335-2-21:1997.

41-  CS 0050:2003    Power cables with extruded insulation and their accessories for rated voltages from 1 kV (Um = 1,2 kV) up to 30 kV (Um = 36 kV) - Part 1: Cables for rated voltages of 1 kV (Um = 1,2 kV) and 3 kV (Um = 3,6 kV) by adopting IEC 60502-1:1994 .

 

 

Article 2:

Companies and manufactures produced or imported those electrical and electronic products for selling or using in the Kingdom of Cambodia shall comply with the above mandatory standards and those shall be applied for a standard mark by printing or sticking after obtaining standards license from the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy.

 

Article 3:  

All previous Prakas and regulations which are contrary to this Prakas shall be annulled.

 

Article 4:  

This Prakas shall come into force from the below signing date.
