Council for the Development of Cambodia

As part of the Governments reform program to promote private sector investment, the Law on Foreign Investment in the Kingdom of Cambodia of 1994 established the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC). This law made the CDC the highest decision-making level of the government for private and public sector investment. It is chaired by the Prime Minister and composed of senior ministers from related government agencies.

General Department of Customs and Excise

As a member of the World Customs Organization (WCO), the mission of the General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE) is to expedite and facilitate legitimate trade and travel, to collect and increase government revenue, to ensure fair economic competition, to enhance social safety and national security, and to sustain economic development and viability of Cambodia.

Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is the government ministry responsible for governing activities of agriculture, forestry and the fishery industry in Cambodia.

Ministry of Commerce 

The Ministry of Commerce is the government ministry responsible for regulating and promoting commerce and trade of Cambodia. It works both domestically and internationally, and within the context of ASEAN, to create opportunities and a good working environment for producers and exporters.


The Cambodia Import-Export Inspection and Fraud Repression Directorate-General (CAMCONTROL) is a division of the Ministry of Commerce with mission to ensure the quality and safety of products and services for the protection of consumers’ health and safety; ensure the protection of consumers’ economic interests; ensure the compliance of the regulatory requirements related to trade; and, provide the service of commercial inspection as third party.

Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts

The Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts (MoCFA) is the government ministry with a mandate to promote, encourage and support the fine arts of Cambodia.

Ministry of Defense

The Ministry of National Defense is charged with supervising all agencies and functions of the government relating directly to national security and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces.

Ministry of Economy and Finance

The Ministry of Economiy and Finance (MEF) is the government ministry that accounts for the administration of financial and economic policy and affairs of the Kingdom of Cambodia. 

Ministry of Environment

The Ministry of Environment (MoE) is the government ministry responsible for environmental protection and natural resources conservation. 


Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health (MoH) is the government ministry responsible for governing healthcare, the healthcare industry, public health and health-related NGOs in Cambodia. The Ministry also governs and regulates the activity of medical professionals, hospitals and clinics in the country. 


Ministry of Industry and Handicrafts

The Ministry of Industry and Handicrafts is the government ministry charged with regulating domestic industry, Small Medium Enterprises (SME), metrology and, standards inspection and certification.

Ministry of Interior

The Ministry of the Interior governs the Cambodian National Police and the administration of the law enforcement; including the police academy, police training, judicial police, anti-drug efforts, border police and prison administration throughout Cambodia's 24 provinces and all districts. 


Ministry of Mines and Energy

The Ministry of Industry, Mining and Energy (MIME) is the government ministry responsible for governing and nurturing industry, the mining industry and the energy industry of Cambodia.


Ministry of Post and Telecommunications

The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC)) is the government ministry responsible for the promotion of effective network infrastructure connectivity and accessible services of Posts, Telecommunications, and ICT sectors across the Kingdom of Cambodia, the region and the world in order to contribute to socio-economic development and poverty reduction.

National Bank of Cambodia

The National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), the nation's central bank. The mission of the NBC is to determine and direct the monetary policy aimed at maintaining price stability in order to facilitate economic development within the framework of the kingdom's economic and financial policy. The NBC conducts this in consultation with the Royal Government and in consideration of the framework of the economic and financial policy of the kingdom. As the monetary authority, the NBC is the sole issuer of the Khmer riel, the national currency. In doing so, this helps maintain monetary stability.
